The method involves folding together the folding lines (18) between two flat panels (12,14) of card material of a printed cut section (10) which is provided with an adhesive portion (26). The cut section has a viewing hole on the first panel and is fed to the loading stage of a transporting device in an automatic packaging machine. A gluing device applies adhesive around the viewing hole. A handling device in the automatic packaging machine exactly positions an article on the surface bordered by the adhesive. A folding device folds the second flat panel up to first panel, and the two panels are then pressed.
