Heat exchanger with a stacked header box

The heat exchanger comprises a row of fluid circulation tubes (15) each containing a disrupting plate (17) for producing turbulent fluid flow. A manifold is elongated in the direction of tube alignment into which one end of each tube can discharge. The manifold is formed by stacking pairs (1,2) of shells (3,4). Each shell has an annular side wall (7) connected to radially extending external (10) and an internal (9) annular edges defined by the shell bottom (5) which has an axial opening (8). The shells of a pair are mutually bracketed together and assembled along their external edges. Two adjacent shells belonging to different pairs are joined by their internal edges, delimiting an internal chamber (19) all along the stack.
