FIELD: chemical-pharmaceutical industry. SUBSTANCE: invention proposes a drug as a tablet for oral administration that has components at the following ratio, wt. -%: codeine, 1.310-1.350; sodium hydrocarbonate, 37.568-45.772; terpin hydrate, 37.568-45.772; starch, 11.030-12.670; talc, 2.349-2.651, and stearic acid, 0.954-1.001. Method of drug preparing involves stages of mass preparing for tabletting, wet granulation, drying, powdering with stearic acid and tabletting. Mass for tabletting is prepared by successive mixing terpin hydrate, sodium hydrocarbonate, powdered starch and talc followed by addition of dissolved codeine. Obtained mass is wetted with this solution at 40-60 C prepared as 3-7% filling agent based on codeine and starch. Agent has a decreased concentration of codeine that is distributed uniformly.
