FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: this particularly relates to coal-mining industry and can be used for supporting underground workings. Powered support is made up of framed sections. Each section has base, hydraulic props secured on base, covering which includes two parts pivoted to each other. Installed in pivoted joint of covering is hydraulic jack. One of hydraulic props is secured on base stationary, other hydraulic prop is installed on base for possible turning in longitudinal plane of section. Application of aforesaid embodiment of powered support allows for better interaction with roof. It improves safety and requires less metal to manufacture. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 dwg
