The lead has a lead body having two portions, and is provided with an insulated sheath (20) and a conductor. The conductor is positioned within the sheath extending between the two ends of the sheath. A stiffening unit makes the first portion of lead body more stiff temporarily by exposing it to magnetic field. An electrode is positioned near the second end of sheath and is coupled to the conductor.
