<p>The braking system comprises a mobile element (12), which is fixed to the wheel and a static element (24), which is fixed to the vehicle. The active braking element (16) acts on the static element to promote the clamping of the static and mobile elements, to produce the braking effect. The braking effect can be produced, as required, by the action of the driver on the pedal (32). The braking effect can also be produced, by the same action of clamping, continuously, by the action of the parking brake. The parking brake action consists of a controller (22), which produces a mechanical locking effect, by fitting into the location housing (23) on the control rod (18) of the active braking element, to lock the static and mobile elements in the clamped position.</p> |
