FIELD: cryogenic engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed installation, preferably, tunnel of freezing chamber for temporary storage of articles, has inlet position and discharge position and conveyor for transportation of articles through installation. Conveyor forms loop around fixed rotating rollers and around movable rotating rollers installed on trolley which can reciprocate between fixed rotating rollers. Buffer storage is provided owing to the fact that conveyor is furnished with drive members both at inlet and discharge positions. Any of these two drive members is made for operation at speed differing from speed of other drive member. When trolley is in free traveling position, difference is speeds means that section of conveyor between trolley and fixed rotating rollers at one side of installation can be increased and decreased. This conveyor section will move between two positions without loading of articles for storage. EFFECT: simplified design, enhanced reliability. 9 cl, 13 dwg
