PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a plush sheet having uniform plush, with sophisticated feeling, good in feel, and improved in fluff loss, by hot-pressing the surface of a specific sheet with a roll to effect melting part of a polymeric elastomer in the sheet and smoothing the sheet surface followed by raising the surface. SOLUTION: One or both surfaces of a sheet composed of a three- dimensionally slipped nonwoven fabric comprising ultrafine fiber (bundle) and a porous polymeric elastomer existing among the fibers or fiber bundles is hot-pressed with a roll heated to a temperature higher than the glass transition point of the polymeric elastomer to effect melting part of the polymeric elastomer and smoothing the sheet surface followed by raising the surface, thus obtaining the objective plush sheet. |
