PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a part in the vicinity of each end of the rubber from being peeled from the rotary shaft and prevent an outer circumferential surface of a rubber from being deformed in a hourglass shape by forming an annular groove in which the injection-molded rubber is filled at least in the vicinity of each end of the rubber of a rotary shaft when a rubber roller is manufactured by the adhesive fixing method. SOLUTION: After the adhesive 16 is applied between annular groove 50, 50 of a rotary shaft 14, the rotary shaft 14 is placed in a die. Rubber is injected in a cavity, the rubber 22 is hardened, and its surface is then ground to form a rubber roller 26. The adhesive 16 applied between the annular grooves 50, 50 is not projected out of the annular groove 50, and the adhesive 16 of sufficient quantity can be applied to the area close to the annular groove 50. When the rubber is injection-molded, the molten rubber is also filled in the annular groove 50, and the hardened rubber 22 is mechanically engaged with the annular groove 50. When a part of the adhesive 16 enters the annular groove 50, the adhesive 16 fixes the rubber in the annular groove 50 to the rotary shaft 14. |
