PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably protect an IC chip by connecting a protective member covering the chip to a board, and providing a gap for avoiding direct contact of the member with the chip between the member and the chip. SOLUTION: The module A for an IC card comprises a flexible board 1, an IC card 2, an antenna coil 3 and a protective cap 4. The cap 4 is superposed on a surface of the board 1 so as to contain and dispose the chip 2 in a recess 5 and adhered. The chip 2 is covered with the cap 4. The recess 5 is formed in a larger size than the chip 2, and a gap S is formed between the overall periphery of the chip 2 and an inner wall surface of the recess 5 opposed to the periphery. The gap S is charged with filler 6. Thus, the chip 2 is protected to prevent erasing of data stored in the chip 2. |
