PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide rapid cooling while preventing dust occurrence to the outer side from a ladle and to accelerate circulation and exhaust of air by arranging a blasting duct and a blasting blower for introducing cooling air into a dust collecting hood covering the upper part of a ladle so that the duct and the blower penetrate the dust collecting hood. SOLUTION: A blasting duct 10a for introducing cooling air into a ladle 1 by penetrating the dust collecting hood 4 and a blasting blower for supplying the cooling air are arranged separately in the dust collecting hood 4 of the ladle 1. Fresh outer air 11 is forcedly supplied to the bottom of the ladle 1 through a blasting duct 10a with the blasting blower and exhausted from the dust collecting hood 4 as ascending gas flow. A circulating means and a ascending/descending means are arranged in the dust collecting hood 4, and at the time of setting the ladle 1 to a cooling position, the dust collecting hood 4 is retracted. The dust collecting hood 4 is formed as a shade type 4a, and at the time of setting the top angleθof the shade shape in the range of about 140-160 deg., the cooling effect is promoted.
