PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an oral composition capable of providing an excellent effect for preventing and improving inflammation of gum by using an antiplasmin agent in combination with a specific antioxidant. SOLUTION: This oral composition is obtained by formulating an antioxidant such as ascorbic acid and a derivative thereof in combination with an antiplasmin agent. The antiplasmin agent is exemplified by tranexamic acid,ε-aminocaproic acid and 4-aminomethylcyclohexanecarboxylic acid. The formulation of the tranexamic acid is preferable. The formulating amount thereof is 0.001-1 wt.% in the whole composition. The derivative of the ascorbic acid is the ascorbic acid with esterified hydroxyl group at 2- or 3-position. The formulating amount of the ascorbic acid and the derivative thereof is 0.001-10 wt.%. An antimicrobial agent such as cetylpyridinium chloride can be added so as to be 0.01-5 wt.%.
