PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine, which prevents double winning by means of the timing of operation of stop buttons such that a player is allowed to determine whether he/she is playing a normal game or has drawn a winning combination and which reduces the difference in dividend rate between skilled and inexperienced players, and a method for controlling the stop of the reels of the slot machine. SOLUTION: A plurality of reels are rotated and stopped by stop buttons that correspond to the respective reels, and medals are dispensed according to the combination of the symbols stopped. Reel stop control tables are prepared such that stopping of the plurality of reels is controlled by one of the tables according to combinations of the symbols stopped, and one or plural reel stop control tables to be used at the start of reel rotation are selected; at the stop of each reel, the effective reel stop control table is further selected from the selected reel stop control tables according to a stop position determined by the stop button, and a combination of symbols matching the reel stop control table that has been saved as being valid is achieved when all the reels are stopped. |
