PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To comparatively easily realize a desired positional accuracy even under a condition that a higher mounting accuracy is requested such as the case of a high resolution color printer or the like by a method wherein an ink jet head is produced by mounting a cut piece as one unit on a support. SOLUTION: By dicing an ink jet head formed in a wafer state with a blade, chips are produced one by one. A chip is installed on the mounting device of a wiring base material such as a TAB or the like. In addition, a sealing resin 7 is applied so as to supplement the insulating properties of joining areas, and the joining strength and then hardened. At a TAB mounting, heads 1, 2 are 3 for colors are successively installed and, after that, by cutting off this TAB so as to divide in every three heads, head units, in each of which the heads for colors are arranged, are completed. In a TAB mounting device, a device for detecting the positions of the chips to be installed is equipped so as to correct their angles and longitudinal and lateral deviations to their proper values. |
