PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove warp or undulation from a control electrode at the time of supporting the control electrode for controlling the flight of toner passing through a gate. SOLUTION: A control electrode 26 provided with a gate 37 for passing toner is disposed between a toner carrier and a counter electrode. The control electrode 26 is supported by a support 50 on the opposite sides at a region thereof where the toner does not fly and positioned in place. The support 50 is clamped horizontally, including an insulating board and wiring constituting the control electrode 26, by a flat supporting member 51 and a fixed member 52 and secured by screws 55 and the supporting member 51 is secured to a support 53 held at a specified position by means of fixing screws 54. In this regard, the control electrode 26 is secured to the support 53 by applying a force in the direction B to the supporting member 51 by means of the fixing screws 54 such that the region of the gate 37 is bent. |
