PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition which cant give coating films exhibiting excellent adhesion and close adhesion to various substrates and excellent corrosion resistance by including an ionomer resin neutralized with a divalent metal and water. SOLUTION: This composition comprises desirably 100 pts.wt. ionomer resin (A) (e.g. ethylene/methacrylic acid copolymer) neutralized with a divalent metal, desirably Mg and/or Zn and desirably 100-2,000 pts.wt. water. Alternatively, component A is mixed with an epoxy-containing compound (B) (e.g. tetraethylene glycol diglycidyl ether) and/or an A/B reaction product (C) in a ratio A/(B+C) of 99/1 to 50/50, desirably 90/10 to 60/40. This composition can be produced by additionally providing a step of mixing component A with a monovalent alkali metal compound (e.g. KOH) to form an emulsion. |
