PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To crush garbage in a short time by providing a disposer with a hopper which forms the peripheral side wall of a crushing chamber, providing the hopper with a step part and forming its upper-part into the shape narrowed with the step part as a boundary. SOLUTION: The hopper 15 is provided with the step part 16 at the position where is above and adjacent to a fixed blade 3 and is formed into the shape narrowed in an upper part with the step part 16 as the boundary. When a motor 1 is activated to operate a rotary plate 6, the thrown-in garbage is pushed to the fixed blade 3 by centrifugal force by the rotary movement of hammers 7 and 8. Movement is stopped by a groove in a part where the garbage is abutted on the fixed blade 3 and rotation is executed by the hammers 7 and 8 in the part where it is not abutted on the fixed blade 3 so that the garbage is cut here. The garbage is moved upwards by this shock. But the garbage is restricted by the step part 16 so that it is kept in the neighborhood of the fixed blade 3. Thus, the garbage is crushed in a short time. |
