PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject oligonucleotide having a specific base sequence capable of hybridizing with Bifidobacterium and incapable of hybridizing with non-Bifidobacterium. SOLUTION: This gligonucleotide has the following base sequence: ACCACCCGTTTCCAGGAG or GATAGGACGCGACCCCAT, which are each found as an oligonucleotide different from traditional ones by comparing the base sequence of 16SrRNA of 11 sorts of known Bifidobacteria with these of 16 sorts of other Bifidobacteria, and easily obtained by an automatic DNA sythesizer, etc., and useful in the fields of foods or pharmaceuticals, etc. |
