<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate elongation of an inner member of a cable used in a cable type steering device. SOLUTION: A slider 13 supported slidably to a drive pulley housing 2 is energized by a spring 16 in a direction separating from a drive pulley 11dr. In a pin 14 provided in the slider 13, a cable holder 15 is supported swivelably, in this cable holder 15, one end of an outer tube 5o, 6o is fixed. When an inner cable 5i, 6i is elongated by aged deterioration, the slider 13 is moved by this elongation, by extruding the outer tube 5o, 6o, elongation is compensated. The drive pulley 11dr is rotated, when a difference of tension is generated in the inner cable 5i, 6i, the cable holder 15 is swiveled, to be fixed by biting an inner surface of the drive pulley housing 2 in points a, b, transmission of steering torque by the inner cable 5i, 6i is performed without an obstacle.</p> |
