PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an aged person or the like able to easily enter and leave between the dirt floor and elevated floor part of an entrance hall by providing a bench provided with a seat plate on an upper surface on an elevated frame side at the elevated floor part of the entrance hall and freely vertically movably forming the seat plate of the bench. SOLUTION: The elevated frame 1a is provided on the tip part on the side of the dirt floor 4 of the elevated floor part 1 of the entrance hall, and at the position of a corner part for forming the elevated frame 1a and a wall 5, the orthogonal two sides of a bench main body 3 are made adjacent to the elevated frame 1a and the wall 5 respectively. Further, an elevating and lowering machine 7 for elevating and lowering the seat plate 2 by an electric motor is provided on the lower part of the fixed case 3a of the bench main body 3 and the operation switch 7a of the elevating and lowering machine 7 is provided on a handrail 6 usable at the time of sitting and standing. Thus, even the aged person or a physically handicapped person can easily and safely enter and leave between the dirt floor 4 and the elevated floor part 1 of the entrance hall.
