PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacture of a nonoriented silicon steel sheet reduced in iron loss after magnetic annealing without increasing costs. SOLUTION: A slab, having a composition consisting of, by weight, <=0.005% C, <=1.0% Si, 0.05-1.0% Mn, <=0.2% P, <=0.005% (including 0%) N, 0.1-1.0% Al, <=0.001% (including 0%) S, 0.001-0.05% of (Sb+Sn/2), and the balance essentially Fe is heated to 980 to 1170 deg.C and then subjected to hot rolling, cold rolling, and finish annealing. |
