PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the maintenance of the quality of inks by preparing the inks in a printer by a method wherein printing inks, which are prepared by mixing concentrated inks and a diluting solution held separately in a printer so as to dilute the concentrated inks at a printing process are so constituted as to be able to be fed to a printing part. SOLUTION: In this printer, an ink housing part 110, in which ink chambers 111-113 for housing concentrated ink solutions C, M or Y of cyan, magenta, yellow or the like are disposed in an array, and a feed water tank 120, in which a diluting water W is housed are joined installingly. In addition, controlling valves 151-153 and a feed water controlling valve 122 are provided in the midway of conduits 131-133 and 121, which connects between the ink chambers 111-113 and mixing means 141-143 and between the ink chambers 111-113 and the feed water tank 120, so as to control the feeding kinds and supplies of the ink solutions and the amount of the diluting water with a controlling means 180 in order to allow to feed the inks diluted to desired concentrations to a head part 160 and to a printer part 170. Further, the controlling means 180 controls the opening and closing timings and periods of the respective valves with timers 181 and 182 at the desired timings. |
