PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-safety leak preventing device for an electric well pump to prevent the occurrence of short-circuit and leakage between a charge part and a mounting base plate due to small mollusc. SOLUTION: In this device, a control part to effect automatic operation and a burning preventing apparatus 6 are mounted on a pump body part through a conductive mounting base plate 2 and an opening part 5 is formed in the lower position of the lead wire connection part 7 of the burning preventing apparatus 6 at a mounting base plate 2. In this case, an obliquely downward extending inclination piece 8 is arranged at one side of the opening part 5, and an entering of small mollusc is led to below by the inclination piece 8 and removed.
