<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely and efficiently treat the subject plastic wastes in high reutilization without corroding or clogging devices by subjecting the plastic wastes to a solid-liquid separation treatment using a specific fractionation solvent, thermally decomposing the obtained fractionated and dissolved solution component, dechlorinating the decomposition product and subsequently distilling the product. SOLUTION: This method for treating plastic wastes comprising (X1 ) hydrocarbon plastics comprising aliphatic and aromatic plastics and (X2 ) different hydrocarbon plastics such as (X2 ') polyvinylidene chloride comprises selectively dissolving X1 and one or all parts of X2 ' in (A) a fractionation solvent comprising 5-70% of aromatic hydrocarbons and 5-85% of paraffinic hydrocarbons, dividing the obtained solution product into (Y1 ) a fractionation solvent solution containing X1 and X2 ' and (Y2 ) solid substances comprising X2 excluding X2 ', thermally decomposing the Y1 , removing chlorine compounds from the decomposition product, distilling the residue and subsequently recycling one or all parts of the obtained distillation fraction.</p> |
