PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject treatment agent comprising a dispersion prepared by colloidally dispersing a specified amount of a specific higher fatty acid magnesium salt in a specific silicone mixture, capable of reducing scum adherence to guides and excellent in dispersion stability. SOLUTION: This treatment agent comprises a dispersion prepared by colloidally dispersing 1-10 pts.wt., based on 100 pts.wt. of the silicone oil, of a higher fatty acid magnesium salt of formula II (R<3> and R<4> are each a 11-21C alkyl) in a silicone mixture composed of a silicone oil as dispersion medium 5×10<-6> to 50×10<-6> m<2> /s in viscosity at 25 deg.C and a modified silicone oil as dispersant of formula I [X<1> to X<3> are each methyl or a carboxyamido-modified group; R<1> is a 2-5C alkyl or phenyl; R<2> is a group of the formula R<5> -(NH-R<6> -)f - NH2 (R<5> and R<6> are each a 2-5C alkylene; (a) is 25-400; (b) is 0-200; (c) is 0-5; (a+b+c) is 25-600; (d) is 0-10; (f) is 0 or 1] in a weight ratio: the silicone oil/ modified silicone of (100:0.01) to (100:10).
