RESIN COMPOSITION EXCELLENT IN VIBRATION-DAMPING PROPERTY AND LOW-TEMPERATURE IMPACT PROPERTY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the compatibility and the balance between the vibration- damping performance and the low-temperature impact performance of a polymer composition containing a polypropylene resin and a polyphenylene ether resin. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by blending 100 pts.wt. mixture of 5-95 wt.% polypropylene resin and 95-5 wt.% polyphenylene ether resin with 1-30 pts.wt. hydrogenated block copolymer made by hydrogenating a block copolymer consisting of at least one polymer block A comprising mainly an aromatic vinyl compound and at least one isoprene/butadiene copolymer block B having a weight ratio of isoprene to butadiene of (80:20) to (20:80) and a total content of 1,2-vinyl linkages and 3,4-vinyl linkages of 50-80%.
