SOLUTION: In the multihead type printer comprising a recording head 2 having a plurality of recording elements 1 formed at a predetermined interval to form an image, the plurality of the elements 1 are aligned at an equal interval in one row, disposed, and the relationship between the head and a sub- scanning feeding is specified to satisfy a relation of Q=j×p, where (p) denotes a feeding pitch of the element in the sub-scanning direction or element arranging direction, (j) denotes a natural number and Q denotes a pitch of the heads.
