摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a vehicle from falling in a dangerous condition, such as sudden deceleration by the operation of a cargo handling lever, by switching a traveling cargo handling contro mode if it is judged that actual prime mover rotational speed is smaller than a reference value when the cargo handling lever is operated in a traveling control mode. SOLUTION: If a cargo handling lever 9 is operated in a traveling control mode and a value detected by a sensor 9a exceeds a fixed threshold value of inclination angle, actual prime mover rotational speed is compared with target prime mover rotational speed when the traveling control mode is changed to a cargo handling control mode. Mode changing is conducted from the traveling control mode to the cargo handling control mode only when the actual prime mover rotational speed is judged to be lower than the target prime mover rotational speed which is a reference value. By increasing the prime mover rotational speed and decreasing transmission gear ratio, target vehicle speed determined by an accelerator pedal opening ACC is maintained properly. In other cases than the above one, the traveling control mode is maintained even if the cargo handling lever 9 is operated.
