PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new substance for a controlling agent of hypophyseal function and centric function, comprising a mouse-derived ligand polypeptide corresponding to a G protein conjugate receptor protein having the same or substantially same sequence as a specific amino acid sequence. SOLUTION: This substance is a mouse-derived new ligand polypeptide corresponding to a G protein conjugate receptor protein having the same or substantially same sequence as a specific amino acid sequence, or its amide, ester or salt. The polypeptide and the DNA coding it are useful for developing a receptor ligation assay, screening a potential medicine by using an expression of a recombinant receptor protein, and a controlling agent for hypophyseal function, centric function or pancreatic function. The other objective polypeptide is obtained by amplifying a receptor protein cDNA by using a human hypophysis-derived cDNA according to the PCR method, cloning it, integrating it into a vector and transducing it into a non-human animal cell for expression. |
