PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause no problem at the time of incineration, to enable presentation of a pattern of high design and to make a decorative sheet hardly impaired, by a method wherein a pattern print layer and a surface hardening layer having Rockwell hardness of a specified value are laminated sequentially on a polyester film having a transmission density in a range of specified values and a chromaticity (b) value of a specified one or above. SOLUTION: A decorative sheet is prepared by laminating a pattern print layer and a surface hardening layer of Rockwell hardness 40-130 sequentially on a polyester film having a transmission density of 0.1-5.0 and a chromaticity (b) value of 5.0 or above. In the case when the transmission density of the polyester film is smaller than 0.1, the color tone of a base whereon the polyester film is stuck affects the color tone of a pattern of the surface of the decorative sheet, and when it is larger than 5.0, the film is caused to be broken on the occasion or manufacture thereof, or the mechanical strength of the polyester film lowers. Besides, the Rockwell hardness less than 40 is undesirable, since the surface hardening layer provided as the outermost layer of the decorative sheet is impaired simply in this case by contact with an object.
