PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain both a spun-dyed polyester yarn for seat belts, excellent in color fastness to light and color tone and colored to gray and a seat belt webbing using the spun-dyed yarn. SOLUTION: This spun-dyed polyester yarn contains a phthalocyanine-based blue pigment, a threne-based purple pigment, carbon black and titanium oxide in a polyethylene terephthalate having >=0.8 intrinsic viscosity and is capable of manifesting an absorption spectrum respectively having the absorption peaks A and B within the ranges of 610-620 nm wavelength and 680-690 nm wavelength, has 0.55-0.65 absorbance ratio R (A/B) of the absorption peaks A and B and the titanium oxide content W (wt.%) satisfying the formula 0.01<=W<=0.08×C/L [L is the color value L of the spun-dyed yarn; C is the crystallinity (%) of the spun-dyed yarn]. The spun-dyed polyester yarn is colored to gray and the seat belt webbing uses the spun dyed polyester yarn as a warp yarn.
