PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart a favorable scratch resistance and an excellent surface gloss to a transferred image by a method wherein a primer layer is constituted of a resin as the major component, and at the same time, as the resin, at least a plurality of resins which are not compatible with each other, are used. SOLUTION: For this heat-transfer recording medium, a primer layer 3 is constituted of a resin as the major component, and at the same time, as the resin to constitute the primer layer 3, at least two kinds of resins which are not compatible with each other, are used. Since the major component of the primer layer 3 is a resin, a favorable scratch resistance can be imparted to a transferred image, compared with a case wherein a wax is used. Also, by using at least two kinds of resins which are not compatible with each other, at the time of a heat-transfer, a separation at the interface between a supporting body 1 and the primer layer 3 becomes possible, and a high gloss can be imparted to the transferred image. In addition, the separation is not performed in such a manner that a non-heated area on the peripheral edge of a heated area of a heat-melting ink layer 2 drags a tail, and a clear transferred image can be obtained. |
