PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the pressure-deformation of a cover by providing a device to fold in advance a side region projected from the width of a forward wall of a flap cover of a head flap along the prescribed folding line to surely hold the head flap on a side wall in the clever of a hinge lid package in its side area. SOLUTION: In a folding station 27, a head flap 4 of a cut piece 2 is captured by a projecting part of a folding mechanism 33, and the head flap 4 is folded around a folding edge part of a folding bar. The folding bar moves the head flap 4 between side jaws 34 where a die is located, and a side area 21 of the head flap 4 is folded along the folding line 23. The head flap 4 is folded inward of a forward wall 6 of the cover along the folding line 22, and abutted on the forward wall 6 of the cover. Because the side area 21 is not projected into the area of a cover side flap 13, the outwardly curving of the cover is avoided. |
