PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the area of a sweet spot on a racket by maximizing the deflection of a string face in a direction perpendicular to the string face. SOLUTION: A racket for a game has a slender shaft part providing a handle and has a ring-shaped head part supporting an almost flat string face. The head part comprises a bottom part mounted on the shaft part, a pair of opposite side parts, and a top part. Each side part and the top part comprise a hollow cylindrical cross section having an exterior wall 37 and an interior wall 38. A plurality of slender slots 43 extending in a direction perpendicular to the face of the string 35 are provided in the interior walls of the side parts and the top, and a plurality of circular openings 42 arranged on the string face and aligned with the slots are provided in the exterior walls thereof. An eyelet piece and a bumper piece have a cylindrical sleeve 47 for the circular openings aligned with the slots, the sleeve extending through the circular openings and terminating outside the slots 43 aligned. |
