PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for removing foreign matters, relatively simple in the whole structure of the device and enabling to surely and automatically remove the foreign matters caught by a foreign matter-removing means. SOLUTION: A laver-mixed flow is flowed through a slit-forming section 38 to remove foreign matters in the laver-mixed liquid. In the slit-forming section 38, the rotation angles of bar-like members 64b, 64a and 64a are set to a slit distance (t) permitting to pass the laver but catch foreign matters. When the foreign matters are removed, the rotation angles of the bar-like members 64b, 64a, 64a are controlled to the distance (t) permitting to catch the foreign matters at slits 40, 70. When the slit-forming section 38 is washed, the slits 40, 70 are controlled to distances T1, T2 permitting to release the foreign matters, and sea water for washing the slit-forming section 38 is flowed in the reverse direction to wash the foreign matters. |
