PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalytic convertor capable of improving exhaust gas purifying performance by avoiding the opening phenomenon of a core. SOLUTION: In a structure in which the honeycomb shaped core 3 formed by laminating the catalyst carriers 5 consisting of corrugated metallic thin plates to form cells at the laminated part is formed and arranged in a shell 2, plural numbers of grooves 6 in the cylindrical direction formed toward the cylindrical peripheral direction on the inner surface of the shell 2, the catalyst carrier 5 is engaged with the grooves 6 at the outer peripheral side of the core 3 in the laminated direction to restrict the mutual detachment of the catalyst carriers 5. |
