摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find conditions for preventing the occurrence of blister defect in a porcelain enamel layer at the time of porcelain enameling treatment. SOLUTION: The chemical composition of a plating film is limited to that consisting of, by weight, 20-80% Al, 0.1-5% Si, and the balance Zn with inevitable impurities. Moreover, the coating weight of the plating film per side is regulated to (30 to 120) g/m<2> , and further, the surface roughness of the plating film is controlled so that the center line average height Ra specified by JIS B0601 becomes 0.2 to 2μm. By this method, the hot-dip Al-Zn coated steel sheet for low temperature firing type porcelain enameling, capable of forming porcelain enamel free from deterioration in antibacterial characteristic and antifugal characteristic with the lapse of time and usable in a wide range of fields, such as plates for building material, kitchen utensils, medical appliances, and chemical vessels, can be obtained.
