<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EGR gas cooling device for cooling EGR gas recirculated from an exhaust system to an intake manifold through an EGR pipe passage, which cooling device can fix end plates to a pipe with a simple structure and certainty. SOLUTION: EGR gas is flowed through an outer cylinder 21 housing a heat exchanger 29 composed of a plurality of pipes 31 with their both ends fixed with end plates 35. An inlet pipe 24 and an outlet pipe 25 for cooling water 23 are arranged on an outer periphery of the outer cylinder 21. Flanges 27 are connected to both ends of the outer cylinder 21. In such a case, sections of both ends of the pipes 31 are polygonally formed larger than sections on the way thereof. The polygonal ends 31b are arranged adjacently to each other without clearance to form a collection pipe part 33. Fitting holes are formed on the end plates 35, correspondingly to the sections of both ends of the collection pipe part 33.</p> |
