<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the new subject compound having immunosuppressive and antimicrobial activities and used for therapies and preventions of rejections in transplantation, graft-versus-host diseases, autoimmune diseases, infectious diseases, etc., by culturing a specific microorganism belonging to the genus Streptomyces. SOLUTION: This is a new tricyclo-compound (salt) expressed by the formula [R<1> is (protected) hydroxy group; R<2> is H or a(protected) hydroxy group; R<3> is methyl, ethyl, propyl or allyl; (n) is 1 or 2 integer; signs expressed by solid and dotted lines are each a single bond or a double bondl, e.g. 17 allyl-1, 4- dihydroxy-12-[2-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxycyclohexyl)-1-methyvinyl]-23, 25- dimethoxy-13,19,21,27-tetramethyl-11,28-dioxa-4-azatricyclo [22. 3. 1.0<4.9> ]octacos-18- ene-2,3,10,16-tetraone, etc., and is useful for immunosuppressants, antimicrobial agents, etc. The compound is obtained by culturing bacteria belonging to the genus Streptomyces.</p> |
