The saw blade comprises tooth flanks (2) which are curved convex. The transition (3) between cutting edge (4) of the sawtooth (1) and the convex curved flank (2) is formed so that the distance (6) between the centre (2a) of the flank and the plane of symmetry of the tooth is greater than the distance (5) between the transition (3) and the plane of symmetry. The cutting edges can have a symmetrical tetragonal trapezoidal structure or an asymmetrical trigonal structure. The cutting edges can be hyperbolic or parabolic.
