The filling port for a motor vehicle fuel tank has a filling head (12) at an upper end of a filling tube (16). The filling head has an upper orifice (18) through which the filling nozzle is introduced. The filling head is fixed on a bodywork panel (28) by a fixing bowl (32), integral with the head, which delimits, set back towards the inside relative to the panel external surface (30), a housing (34) into which the filling head upper orifice discharges. The fixing bowl comprises a portion (40) for fixing onto the panel and a portion (48) connecting with the filling head. The fixing bowl has a programmed rupture line (46) which is arranged between its fixing and connecting portions. A hatch (50) hinged on the bowl closes the housing.
