The cover comprises a sheet (1) of a suitable pliable material with precut notches (2, 3, 4) at its corners and in line with the spine. The upper (12, 13), lower (14, 15) and side (10, 11) edges of the cover have pre-glued zones which are initially protected by film strips, and perforated lines (5, 8) are used to adjust the cover to fit books of different sizes.
