<p>A waste collector 1 for paper hand towels comprises a collector housing 2 having a disposal aperture 6 and a collection container 3 removably inserted below the disposal aperture 6 into the collector housing 2 and open at the top, the collector housing 2 receiving a compression device 4 with a compression tool 10 having an adjustable stroke and capable of being introduced from above into the collection container 3. In order to achieve efficient and clean disposal of paper hand towels, the lift drive 9 of the compression device 4 has a proximity switch 11 which controls the lift drive 9 by switching on, in the sense that the compression tool 10 is lifted from a lower pressure position which can be determined via a pressure switch 12 switchable as a function of the compressive force into an upper release position, and by switching off, in the sense of lowering the compression tool 10 from the upper release position into the lower compression position, and the disposal aperture 6 of the collector housing 2 preferably possesses a closeable cover 8 which can be opened via a controllable adjustment drive 7 as a function of the lifting position of the compression tool 10. <IMAGE></p> |
