<p>In a process for producing a cold gas at a defined temp., the gas is first adjusted to a predetermined base pressure (pB) and kept at this pressure whilst it is brought into indirect heat transfer contact with the liquid form of the same gas, the liquid being maintained at a second pressure (p2) (which is higher than the base pressure) and at its b. pt. Also claimed is an appts. having a storage tank (1) for the liquefied gas connected by a liquid gas line to heat exchange unit (4) comprising a vessel with an internal heat exchanger (7). The appts. also includes a level controller (5) for the liq. in the heat transfer unit, a pressure controller (6) for the liq. connected to the upper part of the heat transfer unit, a gas supply line (10) connecting the heat exchanger with one or more sources of gas, and a pressure controller (8) in the gas supply pipe.</p> |
