The steering wheel has a metal skeleton (1) with hub region (2), spokes (3) and crown (4) It is cast in one piece. In the upper and lower regions (4a, 4b), the crown cross section, of U or V shape, is open towards the front of the steering wheel. In the side regions (4c, 4d), it is open towards the rear of it. The regions including two of the spoke connections have an open cross section through to the rear of the wheel. If there are three spokes, the crown has a cross section open to the rear in the region of the side spoke connections. |
