The distributor has at least two mounting rails (20) with a defined relative spacing, for supporting a number of switching or circuit breaker blocks (10). The latter have a transverse width (b) which allows unrestricted access for a hand between the blocks secured to the adjacent mounting rails. The blocks secured to at least one of the mounting rails are spaced apart from one another to allow access between them.
