An adder calculates the position droops of a main servomotor and an auxiliary servomotor when a main spindle and an auxiliary spindle are coupled through a work. The difference between the position droops is determined by a comparator before the coupling and a divider divides the position droop difference by the rotational speed of the auxiliary servomotor to determine the position droop difference per unit rotational speed. After the two spindles are coupled, a multiplier multiplies the position droop difference by the present rotational speed of the auxiliary servomotor and an adder adds the product to a position instruction to the auxiliary servomotor. This prevents excess torque from developing even when the main and auxiliary servomotors are operated synchronously with each other when connected through the work, eliminates influences of changes of the reduction ratio with time, and corrects misalignment that occurs at the time of coupling.
|
