The invention relates to a godet roll for conveying and working filaments comprising a rotating, cylindrical or circular heating roll (11) configured as a hollow cylinder. Said godet roll is equipped to measure the temperature of the heating roll (11). To this end, a magnet (31) is mounted on the hollow cylinder of the heating roll (11). A sensor (32, 32') for measuring the magnetic field of the magnet (31) is accommodated outside or inside the heating roll (11). The magnet (31) field that is influenced by the temperature of the heating roll (11) is measured and evaluated as a reference value for the actual temperature of the heating roll (11).
