Preparation of a triglyceride-sorbic acid-pantothenyl-acetal peroxides (I), using liquid unsaturated triglycerides (vegetable oils), liquid pantothenyl alcohol (PTA), finely divided solid or liquid polyethylene glycol (PEG) and finely divided solid sorbic acid as starting materials, comprises treating a heterogeneous mixture of the starting materials with oxygen containing ozone.
