A plastics hose (10) has corrugations with peaks (12,14,16) and troughs (20,22,24), forming a series of ring-shaped depressions. Each depression has a point between the adjacent peaks at which the depression reaches a maximum width on one side of the hose, narrowing as it passes around the hose to a minimum width on the opposite side.
